Nick Parnes – CEO, Kalel Productions

For over a decade, Nick Parnes worked his way up from runner to Format Development Executive for MTV Networks. All the while he took on freelance producing and directing roles on various independently produced shows including Popworld and Swag, gaining knowledge of the formats market. In 2005 he set up Kalel Productions after winning £50,000 for The BBC3’s Pitch Idol Award.  In 2008, Nick signed a co-production deal with Objective Productions giving him responsibility for developing and producing new Factual Entertainment formats. They have since produced  Police Academy UK, and have several other brand new shows in production.
